The UPS04, UPS05 and UPS09 are UPS systems by Greencell that all take the same battery. These UPS systems are ideal for a small load, such as in a home office. With a setup such as a home office, the two 9ah batteries in your UPS system should give you plenty of time to save any work and shut down your computer. Do keep in mind, however, the more devices connected to the UPS the less time you will have to save your work.

Replacing the two 9ah batteries yourself should be simple; replace one at a time to avoid mixing up the wires. Once you have fitted the new batteries, it is recommended to let the UPS run without a load to let the UPS fully charge the batteries. While the batteries do leave our warehouse fully charged, they may lose some charge in transit, and not having fully charged batteries will shorten the time your UPS can run for during downtime.
It is recommended to keep the vents clear of any obstructions so the batteries get a good air flow and don’t overheat. It is also recommend keeping the UPS at a load of around 40% or under, so the batteries don’t have too much stress on them. Both of these will help lengthen the batteries lifespan.
Your old batteries can be taken to your local recycling centre where it can be properly recycled for its parts.
