The UPSLM900 UPSLM1200 uses modified sine wave. Modified sine wave is ideal for less demanding devices, such as older generation computers. Modified sine wave is the alternative to pure sine wave, which is the same found in a standard electrical socket, and is more suited for newer generation computers.

These systems are ideal for applications with a relatively light load, such as in a home office where there’s most likely only going to be 1 or 2 devices connected to it. The more devices connected to the UPS system, the faster it will drain during downtime, meaning a setup with a high quantity of connected devices would require a UPS system that takes more batteries to allow ample time to save any work and carefully shut down the devices.
Both the UPSLM900 and the UPSLM1200 take the same batteries. While you should receive the batteries fully charged, we recommend after fitting them to allow the UPS to run without a load to let it fully charge the batteries so when you need to use the UPS it can provide the maximum runtime during downtime.
You can extend the life of your new batteries as much as possible by keeping any vents clear to prevent overheating and by keeping a relatively light load, around 40% or lower, so the batteries don’t have too much stress put on them.
