These wet cell batteries are often seen in battery banks to provide energy and are a very cost effective way of providing energy storage but they do require a certain level of maintenance to ensure that the plates are never run dry, failure to do so will shorten the expected life span of them, they are vented and will naturally lose liquid via gas over there working life.
