The batteries that we send to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installing, you should note that while this is going on you will not have the full runtime protection, while you might just want to install and go, it may be better to start without load, this give the system chance to reset to the new batteries properly
Batteries in this type of installation would typically have a expected life span of between 2 to five years, this unfortunately will be very dependent on the general conditions its put under, make sure it has good ventilation, the batteries will get hot in general use, the hotter they are the shorter the life span, do not pile books on top of it, to get a long battery life you should try to keep the load below 40%, its capable much more but the pay off will be battery life
