When you placed and received your order of batteries from us they will have a fairly high charge in them, but you still need to instigate a full charge before first use, this will not be necessary only if being fitted in something that has its own built in charger that is always connected to the mains like an alarm system which will do the job for you, there should be no need for many hours, it will probably not take very long at all as its almost fully charged already, just until your charger indicates they are ready, this will of course depend on the charger capabilities, while you may well be tempted just to fit without charging if it's going in a portable device its worth completing the charge first as it may well extend the life of them
You probably will not even notice it but if you are using the battery in a device that needs outside assistance for charging that it will take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, after you have used your more portable equipment you should get a charge back into it as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, you cannot rejuvenate this kind of battery by deliberately running them down, going out of your way to fully discharge the batteries will reduce their life span, so do not do it, it is important to keep a charge in the batteries for long life, so if there is any period of time where they are not being used then charge before hand and top this up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours
The battery type that we are offering here is VRLA and AGM, they need no maintenance, no topping up of fluids, the acid is suspended within a glass matting, they are sealed lead acid and valve regulated with AGM technology, they are not-hazardous and safe to use around the home or in portable devices well as travelling
The information we have provided on this page should only be used as a guide, you should carefully check before ordering as many are very similar, if still in doubt you can look at your old battery, take a note of the dimensions and anything that may be written on the side of them, this will always be the best way, we have also included the physical dimensions on this page so you can confirm, these 6-volt 3.2ah batteries are recyclable, the overlaying main constructed content is lead which is very easily transformed into another useful product, maybe even another battery, more information about recycling can be found on our recycling page, link to which is at the foot of this page
