This set has two batteries for the Currie Electro Drive 24v AGM pack.
We have seen these packs for six or seven times the cost of the batteries that we supply to go in them, it's certainly not a difficult job to do, and you can save a lot of money by doing so.
These Currie Electro Drive packs are used on many of the Izip, ezip and other e-bikes. This pack is for the 24V sealed lead AGM system.
Replacing them yourself is not hard, you undo the screws holding the two halves together and replace the batteries, if its not something you think you can do then we can do it for you, you should find a couple of options above to compliment your battery purchase for us to do the fitting for you.
Looking after Currie Electro Drive 24v batteries?
Even though this type of battery needs no maintenance and is sealed, it does need charging. Charge as soon as you can after every use; do not leave them in a discharged state for any longer than necessary. If it's not being used for a long period, then recharge every six weeks and never put it away discharged.
They do take several charges and use in the e-bike before they will take a full capacity charge. All rechargeable batteries will go through this is normal and part of the conditioning process.
We do stock a range of chargers, the best ones use a multi-level charging system that keeps the battery in tip-top condition. There will be some listed for 24V with 3 3-pin DIN XLR fitting.
These batteries will not spill and need no maintenance, except, of course, charging. They are mainly made from lead, so please ensure they are diverted to a recycling center at the end of their useful life so they can complete their green final journey.
