The new APC Smart-UPS SU1400RX176 batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but the system will still need to complete a service charge upon installation. So, of course, it follows that there will be a period of time during which you do not have the full protection that UPS could offer until it has completed this operation. While you might just want to install and go, it may be better to start without a load, as this gives the system a chance to reset to the new batteries properly
