The Pronto-M6 powerchair is a mobility vehicle that is very popular in the community that requires these types of machines. Packed with a whole range of different features that all require an electrical current to work. The energy required for it to use is stored on board in two deep cycle batteries which are sealed lead, non-hazardous, will not leak and safe for transport, including aeroplanes.
What battery is right for you?
This powerchair uses deep cycle AGM or GEL batteries that stores the energy on board required to power the chair. There are a few different options available and this page offers them all, we have listed them here to make it easier for you to pick. On a powerchair like this we strongly suggest a GEL battery as they can discharge further than the AGM which is ideal on a powerchair.
The standard is a pair of 12v 35ah AGM batteries.
GEL 31.6ah, same physical size as the 35ah but with different terminals.
GEL 51ah, physically larger, higher amp, longer miles - the best you can get.
If you would like the upgrade please select them on the easy upgrade section above.
These replacement batteries are suitable for the following products.

When your order is delivered to you the batteries will be almost fully charged, but you still need to complete a full charge before first use. Just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready. Do not miss this first step, it's worth waiting until the first charge has completed and it might contribute to over life span.
It may well take a number of full charges and alternating use in your equipment for the battery to condition and be able to take a full capacity charge, this is quite normal. Letting the batteries sit in a discharged state, even partially is not a good idea. As soon as you have used them put them on charge, you should never deliberately go out of your way to try fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run. If it turns out there are periods where the equipment is not being used on a regular basis then ensure the batteries are fully charged before any period of downtime and then topped up every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours.
The battery type that we are offering her is VRLA and AGM, they need no maintenance, no topping up of fluids, they are sealed lead acid and valve regulated with AGM technology, they are not-hazardous and safe to use around the home or on pavements as well as travelling although if you are booking a flight you should check with the airline first.
Please note you should use all the information on this page only a guide, while we have tried here to assist you in getting the correct batteries for your mobility equipment, it should be noted that there are many very similar codes, if you are not sure you should always double check what you have before ordering, this may also give you the opportunity to see how easy it is going to be to change the batteries, take note of the dimensions and anything written on the side of them, all the physical sizes of the batteries are listed on this page, as the batteries are made of lead they are recyclable and environmentally friendly, more information about recycling can be found on a link at the foot of this page.
