Matched pair of valve-regulated, safe AGM batteries for the Sterling Star Plus scooter.
Charge your new Sunrise Medical Sterling Star Plus batteries when they arrive, before using them for the first time. It will take about ten charges and normal use of the scooter before they can take a full charge; this is normal conditioning for any rechargeable battery. If, for whatever reason, they are not being used, then recharge every four weeks. Also, after every use, it's best to keep it at least 80% charged. If you regularly take it below 50%, it will negatively affect its overall lifespan.
It's not always apparent, but it can take up to ten charges, combined with use in your device, before you can reach full capacity. This is normal conditioning. After you use your equipment, recharge the batteries. Do not let them sit in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary. Do not fully discharge the batteries; it will reduce their lifespan and cost you money in the long run. If, for any reason, you are not using them for long periods, then you should recharge every four weeks, but do not leave them on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
