APC RBC135 is a replacement battery cartridge for certain models of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems manufactured by APC (American Power Conversion). The RBC135 is designed to provide backup power to connected equipment such as the SUA500PDR, SUA500PDRI and SUA500PRDI-S in the event of a power outage or other disruption to the main power supply. The battery cartridge contains multiple batteries that can be easily replaced when they reach the end of their service life. This allows the UPS to continue providing power to connected equipment without interruption.

The battery lifespan of an APC RBC135 can range from 2-5 years, depending on usage. Some businesses choose to replace the batteries annually. To ensure a longer battery life, it's important to keep the UPS in a well-ventilated area and avoid placing items such as books or files on top of it. When the vents are blocked, the batteries can become overheated and shorten their lifespan. To prolong the life of the battery, try to keep the load below 40%. If you have added more devices to your system, this may have increased the load. It's a balancing act between capacity and battery life.
The APC RBC135 batteries are of AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) type and VRLA (Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid) type which do not require any maintenance and are safe to use.
