There are a lot of Back-UPS-1400 models, and although most of the battery packs are interchangeable they are not all, you are better off looking on the reverse of the UPS and getting the model, this pack is for the BX1400Ui or BX1400U if indeed it says something else then use that code to search out the website for the correct ones, better to be safe than sorry.
The APC BX1400Ui is a compact tower, 700w 1400VA system with six AC outlets, It has a LED display battery alarm to tell you when to change the batteries. In our experience it would be better to run the system after fitting with no load at least until the batteries are registered as fully charged, longer if you can spare the time, this helps condition the cells for future use.
A little help on BX1400Ui installation:
Installing new batteries on the BX1400Ui is a little more complicated than on regular UPS machines, but it is still a simple process that requires no special tools. First, make sure that any equipment that this UPS is protecting is turned off and that all power leads are disconnected.
Then, on the back of the machine, remove the battery connector; there is a small indent above it where you can place it so it is out of the way. Remove the four screws around the machine's edge and set them aside. The final one could be concealed behind a label.
Go to the front of the machine and carefully pull off the front of the UPS; three screws will now need to be removed. The machine should now disassemble, revealing two separate batteries inside. Ideally, you should stick these batteries together to make installation easier with some double-sided tape or similar. Remove the cables from the old batteries, then replace them in the same location with the new batteries. Connect the cables to the new batteries and reassemble the machine in reserve order, making sure to use all of the screws.
The batteries are valve-regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA, they will not leak so they are safe and are not hazardous therefore suitable for mission-critical installations.
