Although the Long WP7.2-12 12v 7.2Ah battery replacement needs no maintenance it does of course need charging. like all rechargeable batteries, there will be a small percentage of energy loss over time. so if you are not using regularly charge it every two months. If the battery is going into a device with its built-in charger like a UPS system then this will achieve this for you and do a very good job of it too. If however, it is going into something that requires user intervention for its charging then charge when you receive and first use. If not used often then charge after use and before putting away and every eight weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than eight hours. It will be in your best interest to keep the charge level above 30% as this is when the most damage is done and can shorten the life span.
