The expected lifespan in such applications is between three and five years, but this will depend on the load applied, which is often higher than it should be, and, of course, adequate ventilation for the device. Do not block the vents, and look out for dust that can seep in, restricting airflow. it will last longer if you go for the extended version of the battery, a link to this will be further down the page.

Upon fitting we would recommend that you run the system up without any load to start, this will finalise the first charge and help reset the system to the new energy level of the battery, you should do this at least until the battery is registered as fully charged, if you have the opportunity, then longer would be better; overnight would be the best.
