As you probably already know your replace battery light is flashing on your Back-UPS CS-650 and it's bleeping every few seconds which is probably making you feel you would like to chuck the whole thing out of the window. but hold on you have got this to protect your valuable equipment. it's only telling you it needs some help, you have your car serviced every year and replace parts as and when, all it needs is a new battery. they are very cheap and easy to fit yourself.
Fitting couldn't be easier, once you have added the battery to the shopping cart and it has been delivered, unpack the parcel, and you will see a battery with two terminals. they may have white plastic protective covers on them, remove these. Ensure your APC Back-UPS CS-650, and BK650EI have been removed from the network it's protecting and the mains lead has been removed. on a piece of cloth or another soft item to protect the cover, turn the UPS on its back. you will then see a door that can easily be slid open to show the old battery. you may find it easier to put the UPS on its side to pull the battery out, unplugging the cables as you do. then put these cables onto the new battery, slide back in and close the door. the whole job will not have taken you more than five minutes.
You may want to power up the APC Back-UPS CS-650, BK650EI with the new battery in it without any load so the battery becomes fully charged first. then when that's done use it as normal.
