This battery type is valve-regulated sealed lead acid. It will not spill due to the AGM technology and is not hazardous. It can be found in many different kinds of devices, from mobility travel scooters where two might combine to make 24v and as they are not dangerous, they are OK to use on public transport and even air travel through to a child's ride on toy.

If they are being used in an apparatus with constant mains fed power, then there is no need to be concerned about the charging as the device will undertake it. If this is not the case in some portable devices, then charge the battery before first use. It is better not to let the battery run down below 50% of discharge if you can help it, so charge after every use.
This product can be recycled, so when you have finished with it and no longer performs for the intended purpose, please direct it to a recycling centre.
