The expected life span in such an installation is 2-5 years, this is in normal conditions. Life span can be affected by several factors, keeping the communications room well-ventilated and dust-free is a big one. A UPS system that is continually too hot will certainly reduce overall expected life, as will a continuous high load. It would be wise to often check the vents are clear of dust which eventually makes its way to the fans reducing their capability.
This hot-swap-capable battery pack fits several different APC, Powerware, and Compaq UPS systems.
The pack has ten 12v batteries, they are sealed lead-acid and require no maintenance, fitting is easy, just swap the batteries out one at a time.

Please ensure at the end of their useful life the batteries find their way to a recycling centre, the local council recycling will be only too happy to receive them. Where these cells which are mainly made of lead or Pb can be recycled to complete an environmentally friendly journey. Then be used to produce another product, maybe even another battery.
