When your new batteries arrive from us it is important to charge them before using, they will have a fair bit of charge already in them but the key to maintaining healthy mobility batteries to maintain a positive charge, also charge after every use even if that is more than once in a day, if you are not using them very often then also do so every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for any longer than required to get the cells to full capacity, doing so may also reduce life span as it may instigate fresh charges when not needed.
The batteries are the recommended valve-regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA, combined with absorbed glass mat technology or AGM. This ensures they are not hazardous and safe to use around the home, as well as travelling with, although you should, of course, check with your airline, as they will not spill either.
There is a pair of batteries in this set; they are the standard fit in this powered wheelchair, but you should, of course, check to make sure you have the standard batteries in there now.
