The expected life span of batteries in such an application is between two to five years. this can alter with conditions deemed outside of normal. do not put too much load through the system, as networks grow this can sometimes increase with noticing. Probably the biggest factor is the batteries running too warm. if your communications room is well ventilated, climate-controlled and dust-free then you will get the best from them. if not pay attention to dust building up on the vents, this will get onto the fan blades and reduce the capability of them making the system run hotter than it should which in turn reduces the overall life span of the cells.
