The SMT2200RMI2U battery pack has eight batteries. They require no maintenance and are sealed so can safely be mounted on their side without fear of any leaks. The batteries are chosen because as well as being valve regulated lead acid type that will not leak. They are resilient to both cold and hot temperatures which is ideal in a data communications room or rack.
