These batteries are valve-regulated lead acid type. They are also AGM, so they will not spill even if laid on their side. It is necessary to fit this kind of application when the battery box is put into the boot of a car or in the hold of a train or aeroplane, which requires a cell type that is not hazardous.
Try to keep your new batteries charged. Charge before the first use, and recharge after every use. It is far better to do to leave the cells partially charged. Never try to discharge your batteries deliberately. This will only shorten the expected life and is not recommended with lead-acid batteries. If they are not used for long periods, then charge every four weeks.
This is a recyclable product.
type of battery is sealed lead acid VRLA, AGM

There are two batteries in this pack. They are for the Invacare Mirage power wheelchair; they are the 30ah to 35ah version. The size of each one is:
Length = 195mm - 7.67-inches
Width = 130mm - 5.11-inches
Height 156mm - 6.14-inches.
We have seen the Invacare Mirage with larger batteries and a larger battery box; this is an option as the newer models were produced, so it would be in your best interests to check what batteries you have in your chair. Just open the box and measure the battery inside. The sizes of the standard 30ah, which we will replace with a 34Ah version, are written above. If it turns out yours is broader, some 165mm or 6.49-inches, then you will want the 38ah, 45ah or 50ah. They are the same size; the 45Ah one will last a bit longer between charges; links for these alternative batteries should be just below or the easy upgrade options above.
