These and any batteries you put into your electric bike will only last as long as you look after them. If you run them all the way down or do not charge them as soon as you finish using them, they will not last. Charge as soon as you can after each use. If you use much of the capacity every time, then upgrade to the 14ah versions; the link to them is further down the page. Battery lifespan is directly related to use, so beware.
These valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries also use absorbed glass mat technology; this means they will not spill and can be mounted on the side without risk of spillage, making them very suitable for portable devices.
As your electric bicycle's primary power source, it is crucial to take the best possible care of your new eZip Tri-Ride battery pack. It will arrive almost fully charged, but the first charge is significant, so ensure it gets a good one before using it for the first time; if in doubt, charge it overnight.
Charge as soon as you can after each and every use, leaving the cells partially discharged, which will do them no good at all and shorten their life quite dramatically. If you are not using them for extended periods, charge them every 8 weeks to compensate for the natural self-discharge that occurs during this period.
