Keep your new 12v-22ah battery fully charged. charge before first use and after each, try not to allow it to run down below 20% of capacity. it will last longer that way and if not being used then a top up charge every eight weeks will help it minimise the battery self discharge that will naturally occur over the same period, in effect arresting this decline.
