The City-Ranger-8 is capable of doing eight miles per hour or nearly thirteen kilometres per hour, a stylish compact scooter head and rear lights and indicators with comfortable rotating captains seat and suspension, as standard fit it comes with a pair of 34ah batteries, there is a option to upgrade this to 50ah from new. this is something you should check so you are aware of the battery size in case it is not standard.
The batteries are mounted under the seat cover below the seat, they are quite heavy, around 11-kilos so care should be taken when removing and putting in new ones but apart from that is it is a relatively easy job well within most peoples capability. just refer to your owner's manual for the procedure.
If you are aware of the best way to treat your batteries they will hopefully last longer and save you money in the long run, this kind of battery can take many charges throughout its life, but if you allow it to discharge below 50% on a regular basis it will shorten the overall life. this is of course is not always practical and you have to weigh up the convenience of use over the impending early reduction of life of the battery, so where possible charge after every use and never store away in a discharged state, charging every month or so.

Now there are a number of options with this scooter, the standard 34's could be replaced with slightly longer running 38ah, or lithium. also you might have 50ah which can also be replaced with a larger lithium.
You should look at what you have in there now, if you have had them a good few years and do not normally go over 50% of the capacity in general use, then just replace like for like, if however you are forever running out of energy then either put a larger sealed lead or consider lithium. the benefit of these are they can be discharged to 100% with out the issues that effect lead, also they can do this 5000 times, over ten times that of lead.
Links to all these options are below in the alternatives tab or use the easy upgrade above..
