If you use your motorbike a few times a week all year round then you are already looking after your battery in the best way, it needs to be kept charged and this is doing it for you. If though its only used for a few seasons a year then the best advise we could give is to remove the battery from the bike charge and store in a dry frost free place, off a cold garage floor and recharge every 6-weeks, remove from charger once fully charged, do not leave it on, also be very careful of trickle chargers, a lot do not do the job very well, doing this will ensure a good battery when you want it the following season. If you leave it on the motorcycle during this off period you have the possibility of a joint or small short slowly draining the battery as well as more oblivious things like alarms and immobilises so you need to be much more vigilant, perhaps use a volt meter every week to keep it checked.
This AGM type battery will not require any maintenance during its life span, the good thing about them is they are dry charged, so once activated they are as fresh as the day they are made in the factory and of course you will be back on the road quickly.
