The Vega-RS8 produced by CareCo is an 8mph mobility scooter that comes as standard with a whole bunch of features such as electro-mechanical brakes, rear view mirrors and a front LED light. These combined with the 700W motor, high ground clearance and the necessary safety features give the user a comfortable ride weather it’s a short trip in town or longer journeys.
The batteries on offer here are a pair of 12v batteries that combine to give 24v power needed for the scooter, they are non-hazardous, not-spill-able, valve regulated, sealed lead acid, AGM 50Ah batteries which are recommended for installation.
Taking care of batteries is not difficult if you follow a few simple rules, firstly make sure you charge your new batteries fully before first use although they will be more or less fully charged upon dispatch. Secondly, the most damage is done when batteries are allowed to go and stay flat, charge after every use to keep it healthy. Lastly, if the batteries are going to be out of use for a couple of months then a top up charge will prolong the life of them.
