The Quickie Salsa-M2 is the next evolution in powered wheelchair performance and very popular in the mobility community. Sunrise Medical produces some of the best mobility scooters and wheelchairs and it’s easy to see why the Salsa-M2 is up there with the best. It effortlessly combines outstanding outdoor performance, sleek design and superb indoor manoeuvrability. Thanks to its mid-wheel drive technology it can turn on its own axis therefore has an ultra compact turning circle making it great for narrow and confined spaces. All while still having a smooth and stable ride with all-wheel suspension for those bumpy journeys. The Salsa-M2 as standard comes packed with features but also has many upgrades available to you such as seating options, tilts and lifts, backrests, joystick controls, lights, indicators and different motor speeds.

How to charge and maintain Sunrise Medical Salsa M2 batteries?
Although GEL batteries can take the abuse of charging and discharging more than a regular battery you should still look after them, this can be done by charging upon delivery and most importantly charging after every use. If left without use for a period of 6-weeks or so then a top up charge will help lengthen the life of them, never leave on charge for more than 24 hours.
Looking to upgrade to a higher ampere for additional range?
These are the batteries the manufacturer suggests so that is what we are offering, there is a slightly wider and taller GEL battery that may fit depending on your set up. The benefit of this battery is that is is 73.6ah instead over the 60Ah that we are offering. The width of this larger battery is 173mm over the standard 169mm and the height is 209mm, instead of the standard 179mm. If you are unsure if it will fit stick with the 60Ah or measure the space to see if it will fit. The upgrade can be selected on the easy upgrade section or found on the alternatives tab.
