Maintenance of your new Roadmaster batteries
It's not something most people notice, but it will take a few charges and use in the equipment before the battery is able to reach is full capacity, its part of the normal conditioning process. You should fully charge your batteries as soon as possible after every use, do not leave them sitting in a semi discharged state for any period of time. Also, you should never deliberately go out of your way to try to fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce their life span and cost you money. Lastly, If you are not using the batteries for an extended period of time, remember to recharge them every four weeks and do not store them discharged, even partially, and do not leave them on the charger for more than 24 hours at a time.
Roadmaster, Roadmaster-Elite or Roadmaster-Executive?
The Roadmaster can come in a variety of different versions and all three require different batteries so please ensure you look at what you actually have and make sure you are ordering the correct batteries. This page is for the standard Roadmaster which requires a pair of thirty five ampere batteries. Installation
When the time comes to install your new batteries, don't be alarmed; the most difficult part will be the weight of them. They are stored beneath your seat and can be accessed by removing the seat and removing the cowling, which contains a pair of batteries connected by two wires. Simply remove them and replace them with the new ones. Detailed information should be found in your manual, but if you need assistance, please consult a professional.
