Installation of APC Smart-UPS C1500 battery
Time to stop the annoying beeping sound your UPS is making, pull off the front cover from here you will see a couple of Phillips screws holding the battery door. Undo these and then the connector and slide out the battery pack. You will now see that it is a fairly simple produced to swap the two batteries over. Simple remove the wires from the old batteries and put them onto the new ones in the same way. Once everything is connected up and secure, go ahead and put it back into the machine making sure all the screws and toggles are in the correct place.

According to UPS and the battery manufacturer, these should last somewhere between two and five years depending on use. A few tips on how to get them to last till the latter. After installation, run the system without any load to get the batteries comfortably in their new home. You should also store the UPS system in a place with plenty of ventilation, therefore, keeping it cool and clean and if possible use less than 40% load.
