The BR700ELCD or BR700ELCD-UK is a nifty piece of kit that allows up to six different units to be plugged in (along with USB ports) and therefore can receive uninterrupted power supply protection. The expected life span is of these types of batteries are 3-5 years but that can vary widely depending on the use of the battery. A few tips on how to maximise the life can be found here. Try to keep the vents clear as often dust will build up around them. Another tip would be to try and use less than 40% load and keep in a area where it will not get too hot.
Installation of your new BR700ELCD-UK RBP0083 battery
This process is very simple and the only tool you need will be a screwdriver. Before anything, turn off and unplug all equipment attached to the UPS then unplug the UPS from the power source.
Turn the UPS upside down and remove the screws holding the bottom plate onto it. Press down on the plate and open the battery cover. Pull out the old battery carefully and disconnect the two wires attached to it. Put the new batteries in its place, using the old wires connect it up just like before and insert battery into UPS. Put the battery cover back on secure with screws. Perform a cold start by pressing UPS power button to allow the battery to get comfortable in its new home.

Because the main component of these batteries is lead or Pb, which can be easily converted into another product, they are recyclable. The UPS machine includes an energy-saving feature that benefits the environment as well. When these have served their purpose, please dispose of them at your local recycling centre, along with the batteries that you are replacing.
