The Cetus was created with comfort and performance in mind, making it ideal for those who lead an active lifestyle and enjoy life to the fullest. The Cetus is designed to be used on both the road and on the pavement, thanks to its simple speed switch that allows you to limit your speed to 4mph while riding on the pavement. Manual and Installation for Invacare Cetus
To access and swap over the batteries you should either contact a professional or follow the guide in the manual, which is available for you to download and keep on our downloads tab.

First of all, you need to pull the lever under the seat upwards to disengage it, hold the seat by the front edge and backrest then pull up. You now have access to the rear shroud which also needs to be removed. After that, you will now be able to see the batteries, carefully unplug them and remove the wires, ensuring to take note of which way round they need to go back on. Remove old batteries, install new ones and repeat this process in reverse.

Maintenance
It is critical to look after your batteries if you want them to last a long time; they may not require any maintenance, but they must be kept charged. The batteries will be almost fully charged when they arrive, but you should still charge them before using them. Charge your batteries after every use, even if it's more than once a day; damage occurs when they're left partially discharged, so don't leave them that way. If you don't use them for a long time, you'll need to recharge them every eight weeks to keep them in good working order. But don't just leave them on a charger. charge them until they're full then remove them from the charger.

These batteries are, as with most other batteries recyclable, please help us and the environment by recycling at your local recycling centre. More information about this can be found on our recycle page.
