To maximize the performance and lifespan of the batteries in the SC450, SC500 and SC530, proper care is essential. For GEL batteries, recharge them fully after each use, and avoid deep discharges whenever possible to maintain their longevity. If your machine is equipped with wet lead-acid batteries, periodic maintenance is required, such as checking and refilling the electrolyte levels with distilled water. Always use a charger compatible with your battery type to ensure safe and efficient charging. When storing the machine for an extended period, recharge the batteries every few weeks to prevent capacity loss and keep them in optimal condition.
At the end of its lifespan, all batteries offered here can be recycled, making disposal easier on the environment.

The SC450, SC500 and SC530 come with a few different battery options. The least expensive but most maintenance-intensive are the conventional, wet, flooded batteries. Nilfisk recommends either these, or GEL for these kinds of devices, which we can also offer. GEL batteries are a hassle-free choice because of their exceptional endurance, improved resistance to deep discharge, and lack of maintenance needs. The switch to GEL is easy because the batteries have the same size as the standard batteries.
