These cells are made up of a positive and negative plate with the amp hour combining to store energy on the individual plates. For example, a 3-PzS-180 will have three 60ah positive plates that, when combined, offer 180ah and paired with a Negative plate. The larger the ah means the plate will be physically larger too.
The cells are typically connected in series and/or parallel to obtain the required voltage and storage for the application they will be used in.
