Batteries, most often, come in six or twelve volt. This is pretty much the standard throughout most applications and if higher voltages are required, multiple batteries are used. However, on occasion, some devices require batteries that are eight volt.
This page is for everyone, wholesalers, customers and the layman to get information on all the different size batteries available. This will allow everyone to be on the same page and for the customer to make an educated decision when purchasing batteries.
There are not many eight volt versions available and some only vary a small amount, weather that be dimensions, ampere, terminals and job. Some 8v batteries are for general use, some are to maximise energy storage, some to maximise amount of energy produced quickly, (such for starting engines).

The Cell Type?
You may find that we there is batteries the same size but different cell types, for example wet and AGM. These cannot be connected to each other in the same bank however if you have a set of wet and wish to upgrade to AGM for less maintencene, then as long as the whole bank changes (what you should be doing anyway) then that's no problem.
AGM, this is a sealed type battery that needs no maintenance, except of course charging.
WET, this kind of battery needs to maintained, but a very effective cost to ampere choice.
While there are not many base physical sizes for 8v batteries, there are many variations on capacities, use and chemistry, plus apart from the smallest one normally in banks to offer the required voltage and energy output, in a lot of occasions its probaly easier to contact us with the make, model of your device and the details of the batteries contained within.
