Upon receipt of your mew battery order you will note that they have a good charge, but you will still need to charge them before using for the first time, the time of the first charge will be dependent on the charger, just leave it on until its finished, you might just want to fit them and use, but that would be unwise, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy.
While is not something that most will even notice but it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process, you should fully charge your batteries as soon as you can after every use, do not leave them sitting in a semi discharged state any period unless necessary, discharging the batteries fully will only reduce their life expectancy, it will do them no good and will cost you money in the long run, if for any reason you are not using them for long periods then you should recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time.
These 12-volt batteries are AGM ( absorbed glass mat ) and VRLA ( valve regulated lead acid ) they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors or in electric vehicles, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance.
