When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use, it should not take that long, just until the charger indicates its ready, if in doubt overnight will be more than enough, do not just fit them and roll without this initial charge, it will help to extend the battery life overall
While is not something that most will even notice but it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process, ensure that after every use that you put the batteries back on charge, letting them sit in a partially discharged state is not wise, you should never deliberately go out of your way to try fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run, If there are extended periods where the batteries are not being used then ensure they are fully charged beforehand then recharged every four weeks but you should not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours
These 12-volt batteries are valve regulated and AGM or absorbed glass mat, not need for any liquid as the acid is held within the glass mat, this means they will not spill and not-hazardous so safe for use around the home and or travelling, even aeroplanes but you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight, they are deep cycle which would be required in this sort of application
