The CTM HS-686 is a four wheeled six mph mobility scooter. a very capable and steady well made machine with independent front braking and rear suspension, lighting kit, front and rear lights, indicators, captains chair and all the usual features, a very good solid reliable piece of kit.
After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, but you still need to complete a full charge before first use, you do not need to leave it on for hours on end, just until the charger has indicated that it has finished. you may well be impatient enough just to fit and use the equipment without charging but it's well worth waiting until its fully charged and will help extend overall life expectancy.
You may not notice it but it will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, letting the batteries sit in a discharged state, even partially is not a good idea, as soon as you have used them put them back on charge, discharging the batteries fully will only reduce their life expectancy. it will do them no good and will cost you money in the long run, these batteries need to be kept charged, so if there is any reason where they are not be used then ensure they are charged beforehand and then every four weeks, but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours.
These 12v batteries are valve regulated and AGM or absorbed glass mat, not need for any liquid as the acid is held within the glass mat, this means they will not spill and not-hazardous so safe for use around the home and or travelling, even aeroplanes but you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight, they are deep cycle which would be required in this sort of application.
