After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, but you still need to complete a full charge before first use, just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready, do not just fit them and roll without this initial charge, it will help to extend the battery life overall
Unless you are a very extended user your will probably not even notice that it can take a number of charge and use in your equipment before a full capacity charge is achieved, this is all part of the conditioning process, allowing your new batteries to sit without charge is not a good idea, as soon as you have finished using it put it back on charge, never try to discharge the batteries all the way down, this will only reduce the life span and cost you money in the long run, they may be protracted periods where the batteries are not being used, if this is the case ensure they are fully charged first, then top up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than four weeks
These batteries are deep cycle capable, which is essential in this type of application, the VRLA and AGM cells will not leak and not-hazardous so suitable for travelling, there is not maintenance required, except of course charging which we have covered on this page, both VRLA and AGM
We have provided the information here only as a guide, you need to check the code on your mobility device carefully as so many of them are pretty similar so it's easy to make a mistake, you will also find we have listed the dimensions so you can make sure you are ordering the correct pack, looking at your old batteries, taking note of the dimensions and anything that may be printed on the side is probably the wisest thing to do, this product is recyclable it is made mainly of lead which is easily transformed, please ensure they are disposed of properly at a recycling centre when they have fulfilled their purpose for you, more information about recycling can be found at the foot of this page
