When you get the batteries from us they will have a fairly high charge in them, but you still need to fully charge them before first use, while you only need to charge until the charger indicates that its finished it is very important and not a step you should overlook, do not just install and go without this initial charge, doing so can shorten expected life span, it's well worth doing
It's not something that most will notice but it will take a few charges and use in the equipment before a full capacity charge is reached, it's part of the normal conditioning process, after you have used your equipment you should get a charge back into it as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, never try to discharge the batteries, with this type of technology it will only mean a shorter life, if for any unforeseen reason they is an extended period where you are not using the batteries make sure they are fully charged first, then recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours
These batteries are deep cycle capable, which is essential in this type of application, the VRLA and AGM cells will not leak and not-hazardous so suitable for travelling, there is not maintenance required, except of course charging which we have covered on this page, both VRLA and AGM
