Below you will find details of a set of new mobility batteries you will require for the Fortress Commuter, the electrical energy that is required for functioning is stored onboard in deep cycle batteries, they are 34-amp hour batteries, it uses 2 x 12-volt batteries, they are replacements for them, they are as would be required rechargeable type of battery, deep cycle capable which would be needed in this kind of application and not-hazardous and will not spill so therefore safe to use indoors, AGM and VRLA cells, more information about these chemistries will be found below

After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, but you still need to complete a full charge before first use, your charger will indicate to you when it has completed a charge, the light will generally change to indicate this, do not be impatient, wait until this first charge has completed before thinking about using the equipment, it will contribute to overall battery life
Unless you are a very extended user your will probably not even notice that it can take a number of charge and use in your equipment before a full capacity charge is achieved, this is all part of the conditioning process, as soon as you after each use put them back on charge, do not allow them to sit in a discharged state, fully discharging your new batteries will reduce the overall life span and they will need changing earlier, this will cost you money in the long run, they may be protracted periods where the batteries are not being used, if this is the case ensure they are fully charged first, then top up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than four weeks
These 12-volt batteries are AGM ( absorbed glass mat ) and VRLA ( valve regulated lead acid ) they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors or in electric vehicles, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance
