The system utilises storage batteries, they are 34-amp hour batteries, it uses 2 x 12-volt batteries. Even though the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged you should still complete a full charge before first use. The charger LED lights will indicate whether it is still charging or not, you only need to charge them until they are ready. You might just want to fit them and use, but that would be unwise, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy.
It may well take a number of full charges and alternating use in your equipment for the battery to condition and be able to take a full capacity charge, this is quite normal. Each time you have used your electric vehicle then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can, do not leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary. You should never deliberately go out of your way to try fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run, if for any unforeseen reason they is an extended period where you are not using the batteries make sure they are fully charged first, then recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours.
These 12-volt batteries are very resilient and can be mounted on the side without any issues so suitable for use in electric vehicles. Deep cycle capable which of course is essential in electric powered devices and no leaking, which means they can be used indoors at well as the road or pavement. They are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology they are not-hazardous so safe for airlines but you should check with them when you book your flight.
