The Roma medical Shoprider Deluxe is a four wheeled mobility scooter designed for indoor and outdoor use, it comes with a detachable fold down swivel seat, pneumatic tyres and anti tip wheels, the standard battery fit on this model is a pair of 12v 35Ah batteries, and that it what this offer is for.

The batteries are valve-regulated, sealed lead-acid, maintenance-free AGM; they will not leak if laid on their side and are not hazardous, so they are safe for use on public transport.

Changing the batteries is not a difficult job, it consists of the following, Fold down the back of the seat, pull on the red lever and twist the seat at the same time to remove it. Remove the hand knob that hold the seat adaptor in place and remove, then take off the rear chassis cover, be careful to undo the lighting and charger plugs, you can then see the batteries. disconnect the battery plugs and the orange multi plug, undo the Velcro straps and you can lift out the batteries, swap the cable over to the new ones and replace in reverse order.

Before you use it for the first time, fully charge the batteries; this probably won't take long, as they should arrive almost fully charged.
We recommend charging after every use; if you aren't using them for long periods, top up every two months.

The Shoprider deluxe may also come with 40ah batteries, these are physically larger and of course you can travel further, we are able to supply even longer running 50ah batteries to directly replace these, the link to these will be in the alternatives tab.
