Battery pack replacement for Drive DeVilbiss Scout-Venture Scout-Explorer mobility scooter, pair of 12v batteries that are AGM, rechargeable, and sealed lead at low costs
This is the Scout-Venture and Scout-Explorer heavy-duty battery version of Drive Medical's lightweight mobility scooter. It includes all of the features we've come to expect from a lightweight transportable model and a few extras. This Scout-Venture model has physically and ampere-wise larger 20ah batteries, extending the scooter's range. The batteries we are offering here are 22ah upgrades to increase the range even further. The Venture is a very sturdy, lightweight scooter. It can comfortably transport a user weighing up to twenty stones. This scooter, which incorporates the new Drive DeVilbiss splitting mechanism, easily separates into five convenient parts for transportation and storage, as shown in the illustration. There is a comfortable padded seat that can be adjusted in height without the use of tools, and the width of the armrests can be easily adjusted to fit your needs.

Scout-Venture battery care
Your new batteries will arrive nearly fully charged, but proper battery care is critical. Before your first use, charge them until complete. This could be five minutes or could be hours. Putting the batteries on charge after each use is a good habit that will keep them in top condition for the longest time. If eight weeks have passed and the batteries have not been used, it is highly recommended that you fully charge them. Never charge the batteries for more than 24 hours, as this can cause severe damage to them. For more information, consult the information sheet that comes with your delivery.
Environmentally friendly Scout-Venture batteries
These batteries are maintenance-free, sealed lead and AGM, which makes them recyclable by default. In years to come, when you have these batteries fulfilled their purpose, please make sure you direct them to a recycling centre where they can be turned into something useful again. If you don’t know where this is, your local council will be able to assist you.

Now you will see in one of the pictures that there are eight screws holding the lid on, they are marked, and it's just a Philips screwdriver, so easy to do. We have noticed that some of the boxes can hold both the smaller 12ah and larger 22ah batteries. You will probably not know until you undo the box what it is you have inside unless you purchased from New and they told you. It is possible to tell from the weight smaller 12ah batteries will mean the box weighs less than 9-kilos, whereas the larger is more like 13-kilos. Also, we have noticed that some have cables just for the smaller ones, although that is easily remedied with an adapter.
If you opened the box and saw you have the smaller 12ah or 14ah batteries and want to upgrade to 22ah, then also the spade connectors in the available options above.
