Collection and fitting batteries in mobility battery box service.

We are pleased to offer a service where we can receive or pick up your mobility battery box, install new batteries inside, and send it back to you the next working day.

We offer a fast turnaround service for fitting our new batteries into your mobility battery box at a low price. We can also receive mobility hoist battery boxes or any smaller box with lead batteries inside.

• Mobility battery box fitting

A great number of our clients will fit the batteries themselves, but others will ask us to do it for them. The following is a cost-effective way of achieving this.

Start Here. You can send us your mobility battery box for us to fit new batteries. If you know what batteries you require, you can choose them from the “Add Batteries” section above. If not, leave it as is, and we can open the box once it’s with us. We will then contact you and tell you what you need or could possibly upgrade to.

Fitting only (selectable above under available options):
We will then send email you details of where to send your battery box; we would expect to turn them around within one working day of receipt and deliver them back to you completed; if you do not add batteries, then we will contact you after opening and advise what you can put into it.
Please note that if you are sending it to us, and we are not collecting the box, ensure it is packaged well.

Collect and Fitting (selectable above under available options):
Then we will send out a sturdy case from here; at the doorstep, you will put your box inside, and it will be returned to us for inspection.

Possible upgrades explained

There are several upgrade options, which are dependent on the physical size of the case if your existing batteries are:
10ah, then there is no upgrade
12ah can be upgraded to 14ah for more miles.
17/18ah can be upgraded to 22ah and 26ah for more miles.

If you do not purchase batteries at the time of ordering, we will phone you to discuss what you can have.

Don’t want the hassle and risk of sending the battery box yourself?

If you want us to collect the box rather than you packing it up and sending it, select “Collection & Fitting” from the “Version” above.

Please note that this will increase the price to collect but does give you peace of mind, especially as mobility boxes can be heavy depending on what is in them. We will send a courier on an agreed day with a rigid padded box. Upon their arrival, you put your mobility box inside this, and they will take it away to our warehouse for batteries to be fitted. Everything else will be the same.

Fitting service £9.99 plus £44.50 for pair of batteries, total would be £54.49 (prices quoted assume you are entitled to disabled VAT relief).

(b) Typical cost of a small scooter with 12ah batteries =
Fitting service is £9.99 plus £79.98 for new 12ah batteries, total would be £89.97 (prices quoted assume you are entitled to disabled VAT relief).

When the Battery box is delivered to us, we check the continuity of the external terminals to ensure that it is a working device. Thereafter, we will replace your batteries with the ones that you have purchased from us and recycle your old ones on your behalf.

Obviously, there are many options, as there are many different boxes, but as long as it's sealed lead (i.e., quite heavy), we are confident we will be able to sort it out for you.

Upon refitting the case, we will confirm continuity and that the voltage reading is correct before shipping it back to you and advising you of tracking.

Shipped back out within one working day on a next working day service with your new batteries installed.

If your mobility battery box has a charger that is not standard mobility round 3pin DIN 24v, then also send the charger so we can check charging after fitment. In fact, anytime you want us to check your charger at the same time, then include it with the parcel. There is no extra charge for this, and it is probably wise.

This service is for normal battery boxes with sealed lead batteries, not lithium ones. If this is what you have, then contact us directly, as we may be able to assist. We do some.

We only fit batteries purchased from us.

Remember, do not add batteries to the cart if you do not know what batteries are in your box. We can always phone you and advise you once we have opened it.
