Drive Devilbiss-Explorer Sport battery mobility scooter AGM
Battery set for Drive Devilbiss-Explorer & Sport mobility scooter, rechargeable sealed lead high ampere pair of 12v standard fit batteries at low cost
If you want a reliable scooter with comfort and all-around suspension, the Explorer and Sport boot scooter is an excellent choice. It is designed to check all of the boxes such as comfort, safety, style, and ease of use. The stylish black and silver chassis, as well as the coordinated black and silver wheels, make this scooter not only a dependable and comfortable boot scooter but also a stylish mobility aid. The Explorer and Sport also have a 360-degree swivel seat for easy transfers, as well as an adjustable tiller and seat height to find the ideal driving position. Anti-tip rear wheels, an anti-rollback safety system, and puncture-proof, anti-marking tyres are among the additional features.
The standard batteries are a pair of twelve volts, twenty-two ampere absorbed glass mats (AGM). Mobility scooters with the larger battery pack usually come with eighteen amperes as standard, with the option of upgrading to larger amperes, so this is a good place to start. This page offers a pair of high-quality twenty-two-ampere batteries that can be used to directly replace your old ones. You can also upgrade to LiFePO4 lithium versions, which are detailed in the alternatives tab.

Taking care of your new Devilbiss Explorer batteries
These AGM batteries are technically maintenance-free, but that does not mean you can skip charging them. There are numerous myths about the best way to charge, and the answers will most likely vary depending on who you ask. You should be fine if you follow these guidelines. Charge until full upon delivery and before first use; depending on your charger, this could take just a few minutes or many hours. Second, never leave the battery discharged; you must charge the battery until it is fully charged as soon as possible after each use. Finally, if not going to be used for an extended period, charge before storing and top-up charge every four or five weeks.
Installation advice
Of course, once you've received your new batteries from us, you'll want to install them and get going. Installing new batteries is simple; all you need is a screwdriver and ten minutes of your time. Turn your battery box upside down (on something soft to avoid scratching it) so you can see a series of holes around the outside of the box. Screws are located at the bottom of these holes, which must be undone and set aside. When you turn it back up the right way, the box will split open, allowing you to access the batteries. All that remains is to remove the old batteries and replace them, paying close attention to which wire connects to which terminal. Replace the lid and secure the box with screws.
Please take extra care when installing the batteries and if need be, seek advice from a professional.
Environmentally Friendly
Sealed lead batteries, as the name implies, contain a significant amount of lead. Lead is a precious metal that had to be extracted from the earth, but it is also recyclable and can be converted into something useful rather than ending up in a landfill. Once you've finished with your old batteries, take them to your local recycling centre; the same goes for your new batteries in years to come, once they've provided you with the freedom of using a mobility scooter.
