Replacement Dell J727N 2700R/T HV battery pack, rechargeable sealed lead acid batteries for this 2700 Watt UPS system, will also fit the H945N and K802N, supplied at low prices direct from warehouse.
The Dell J727N 2700 R/T is a 2700w 230v HV UPS system, it has physical size of 438 x 127 x 541mm, with a height of 3U and suitable for 19 inch racks where you will normally find them, but they can of course also be in a tower configuration. This battery will also fit the 2700 R/T 100v LV K802N and the HV-US 208v H945N.
You might also have an extended battery module or EBM attached to your UPS, this will normally be a 2U K811N, if you need to change your batteries you should do this at the same time, a link to this separate battery pack will be found further down the page.
Installing new batteries is a relatively easy task, the metal battery door will be seen once you have clipped off the front panel, it is secured by a thumb screw, undo this and slide the door first to the right then open, thereafter you will be able to see the battery tray, we would suggest taking a picture on your smart phone of the wiring so you have something to refer to if disturbed, just swap over one battery a time so you do not make a mistake, refer to your manual for full instructions.
Expected battery life in such a installation would be between 2-5 years, batteries should be changed at least every 5 years, the life span can be effected by a number of factors, running to hot because of lack of ventilation, keep the communications room cool, dust can also block the vents and build on the fans making them less efficient use a vacuum to keep clean the outside of the box, the other reason can be overdue load, often the network will grow over time requiring more energy.
The batteries are valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA, they will not leak and can be mounted on the side so suitable for both tower and rack mountable configurations, they are AGM or absorbed glass mat, also recyclable, the main content being lead so easy to be recycled making them a very environmentally friendly method of storing energy for your uninterruptible power supply.
