Optional external battery cabinets (EBC) can be connected in parallel with the UPS to increase battery performance. You will get higher run time the more EBC connected to the UPS. External battery cabinets are stacked beneath the UPS in a rack configuration or to one side of the UPS in a tower design. When up to 10 EBCs are connected to the UPS, up to six EBCs may be discovered using EBC-detection.
