The T-Max XP500 was the follow-up to the first real Maxi scooter, the YP250, and, as such, has been a very popular choice in Europe. Conceived as a large-displacement scooter for high-speed motorway use, it has all the traits of a scooter- step-through storage and protection but is built around a motorcycle frame for improved handling. It has a 4-stroke, 499 cc parallel-twin engine and loads of under-seat storage.

The battery is a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA), also known as AGM (absorbed glass mat). It will not leak and can be mounted on its side. It will arrive almost fully charged, but you should charge it before first use. Either way, go for a good run afterwards to help re-energise the cells. The battery is a YT9B4 you should check that is the battery you have on yours before ordering as the model was changed, it might also say YT9BBS which is the same, if not please contact us for advise.
