This is an AGM sealed lead-acid battery pack, valve-regulated and maintenance-free. The battery is designed to be leak-proof, even when mounted sideways, making it ideal for power packs and jump starters.
These batteries, equipped with a nut-and-bolt fitting, are not commonly available and therefore require careful maintenance. Ensure they are fully charged upon arrival and initial use, which should be quick since they'll arrive nearly fully charged. If the battery is used infrequently—perhaps during the off-season in a shed—remember to recharge it every six weeks to maintain cell health.
The battery will typically need up to ten cycles of charging and use before it can hold a full charge. This conditioning is a normal part of the lifespan of rechargeable batteries.
