This offer is for a pair of 12v 18Ah batteries to replace the Pride BATIQ1000 model, often seen in mobility scooters and wheelchairs. They are a direct replacement in size and capacity and are easy to fit yourself. We are selling them as a pair because that's what's in your device, and changing one isn't recommended. But if you only want to buy a single from us, you can.
This type of battery is sealed and will not spill. They are AGM and VRLA, suitable for portable devices such as mobility, where they might go in the back of a car for transport.

Are you maintaining your BATIQ1000 battery?
The critical thing you need to remember is to keep it charged. Charge when your order arrives and before first use. This should be quick, as it will arrive with good capacity. Charge them after every use, just until complete, then remove them. We do not recommend leaving them on the charger longer than needed to reach full capacity. Overnight is okay, but not for weeks at a time. If they are not being used, top them up every four to six weeks.
Please do not deliberately run them down to zero. This will not reset them. It will only shorten their expected life.
Once these batteries have come to the end of their life, please recycle them. There are plenty of recycling centres that will take them. They are mainly made of lead, which means they can be made into other products.
Can I upgrade the BATIQ1000 battery?
Yes, we offer a 22Ah battery that provides more miles per charge and can replace the 18Ah directly; this offers over 22% more miles than the previous. They are the same physical size and use bolt-down or universal terminals, as shown in our image. During installation, you rotate the eyelet and screw down instead of across; really simple.
