There are two batteries in this set.
This lightweight travel-sized mobility scooter comes apart for easy transportation in the boot of a car. It can go up to four miles per hour, and we have seen it in more than one battery configuration. Some of the boxes can take both 12Ah and 17Ah battery sizes. We also have upgrade options for both of these.
Please charge your new batteries when they arrive and are first used. After every service, it would help if you set them as soon as possible. If they are not in use, recharge them every six weeks to keep the cells in good condition. Do not leave the charger any longer than required to get a full charge. If in doubt, no more than eight hours should be sufficient, depending on your charger.
Changing Tiempo Rapide Battery
The battery box you are familiar with contains a pair of 12v batteries that connect to produce 24v. Replacing the batteries with new ones is not very difficult. The only tool that will be required is a Phillips screwdriver. Turn the box upside down on a surface that will not scratch the casing, then undo the eight screws around the outside, not the two in the middle holding the output plug. Roll the box back up the right way and lift the lid off. You can then see the batteries and change one at a time. There are only two wires on each. Then reverse the order and put it back together; the whole job will take no more than ten minutes.
Recyclable
These batteries are environmentally friendly and can be recycled at a recycling centre. We encourage all users to help the environment where possible. So when they have eventually reached the end of their life and need to be disposed of, please enable them to be recycled into something else... perhaps even another battery!
